Constitution and Operation

Causeway U3A is a registered charity that operates within a constitutional framework. 

Our new constitution was ratified by a vote of members at our AGM on 2 May 2024.

Normally held each year in April.

This meeting reviews the operations of the Association for the preceding year and elects the executive and committee members for the coming year.

All of the Association's activity is carried out by the members. They form the committee and they run all of the activity groups.

We encourage all members to find ways to contribute to the Association's activity, planning and development.

The committee is elected by the members at each Annual General meeting. The duties and composition of the committee members are specified in the constitution, as are the number of terms of office that a member may hold.
